Description
Medium to large with transversely subpentagonal outline and dorsibiconvex profile, Fold and sulcus well defined, tongue wide, rectangular, Costae numerous, strong, simple, from beaks, flattened and grooved on paries geniculatus, marginal spines pronounced, Dental plates short, convergent ventrally, ventral muscle field deeply impressed, Dorsal interior with very short crural plates posteriorly, sometimes meeting on valve floor, outer hinge plates horizontal, divided, median ridge short and low, crura long, rodlike, septalium, dorsal median septum, and cardinal process absent.
