Description
Shell small, rounded or weakly elongate in outline, usually strongly concavoconvex, surface costellate, no spines developed but canal apertures alternating on each side of umbo, hinge denticulate, cardinal process internally ventrally gibbous, short median septum supporting cardinal process, anderidia posteriorly fusing with septum, anteriorly divergent at 80°, one pair of long, narrow, bladelike accessory septa usually longitudinally curved medianly.
