Subpentagonal to rounded outline and biconvex profile, Beak suberect, delthyrium open but small deltidial plates may be present, Fold and sulcus low, anterior commissure uniplicate, tongue broad, low, dentate, Costae strong, angular, from beaks, rare bifurcation, Dental plates short, vertical, Septalium with cover, septalial plates long, hinge plates conjunct posteriorly, cardinal process septiform, within septalium, merges with dorsal medium septum that extends to midvalve.
