Description
Large with elongate subpentagonal outline and biconvex profile, anterior and lateral margins truncated. Beak erect. Dorsal fold and ventral sulcus obscured by plicae, anterior commissure sulciplicate. Plicae strong, arising at umbones, typically 4 on dorsal valve with 2 on fold, and 5 on ventral valve with 1 in sulcus. Spondylium in ventral valve supported by strong median septum. Dorsal median septum protruding into large U-shaped septalium.
