Description

Medium size, biconvex to subglobular, dorsal valve and some ventral valves geniculate anteriorly, anterior commissure rectimarginate, strongly plicate anteriorly, cardinal process shelflike, fulcral plates broad, conjunct with narrow, outer hinge plates, or directly connected with crural bases, inner hinge plates short, joining valve floor independently along their inner edges, crura short, conjunct with outer hinge plates, descending lamellae narrow, transverse band gently bent to V-shaped
