Description
Gently concavoconvex profile, distinctive sharply crested parvicostellate ornament, vestigial dental plates, bilobed ventral muscle field, sometimes septules with pair of prominent tubercles posterolaterally inside ventral valve, similar to Chonetoidea, but with circular papillae rather than elongated, bema sometimes suggested by raised tubercles but not always developed.
