Description
Small, longitudinally ovate outline, ventribiconvex. Beak straight to erect, foramen rounded, hypothyrid. Dorsal sulcus and ventral fold low, wide, anterior commissure plicosulcate, umbones smooth. Costae subrounded, irregular, most pronounced in sulcus and on fold. Dental plates short, convergent to divergent ventrally, teeth short, convergent dorsally. Dorsal median septum short, thin, abruptly truncated, hinge plates divided, septalium absent, crura long, closely set. Upper Devonian (Famennian): Europe, Urals, northern Africa, central Asia, western North America.
