Shell ventribiconvex, subcircular, ventral valve with submarginal beak, pedicle opening long, narrow slit immediately posterior to apex, not extending to posterior margin, ventral interior with broad, subparallel, submedian vascula lateralia, dorsal interior with long, broad median ridge, extending anteriorly beyond midvalve, other internal characters poorly known
